Mariana S. Ferreira
Director and Communications Manager
Mariana Silva Ferreira is Director and scientific communication manager at the International Institute for Sustainability Australia (IIS AU), assistant professor in the postgraduate course in Environmental Sciences and in the undergraduate course in Biological Sciences (emphasis on Ecology) at the Veiga de Almeida University (UVA).
She holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Ecology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a PhD in Ecology from UFRJ/University of Sydney (Australia). She has experience in the areas of Population Ecology, Life History and Restoration Ecology. Mariana is currently a collaborative researcher and develops projects at the Vertebrate Laboratory (UFRJ) and the Laboratory of Ecology (UVA), belonging to the Wild Vertebrate Studies Center.
